Andrea Bijou - the Artist behind Bijoudally.

Andrea Bijou, founder and lead designer of Bijoudally, brings experimentation and art to the retail world through the technique of laser cutting and casting. All designs are based on Bijou’s original, hand-drawn illustrations, while the final product is cut, painted, and assembled by local artists and vendors in the Seattle area.

Bijou began her career as an investigative journalist for a NBC affiliate and freelance writer for several papers in Washington and Oregon. In her mid-twenties she took a job copywriting for a graphic design firm in Seattle, which gave her a quick education in branding, marketing, and design. After a year of working for that firm, she and her fiance decided to start their own Seattle graphic and web design firm - maoStudios. Bijou has assisted many companies in their branding and messaging efforts (she remains the CFO of maoStudios). Bijoudally, a division of maoStudios, began in 2009 as a creative outlet for Bijou’s artwork. Now Bijoudally is a fast-growing brand in boutiques and specialty retail chains across the country.
